Merzouga
Merzouga is a small village located in the Saharan south-east of Morocco, 35 kilometers from Rissani, 50km from Erfoud, and 50 kilometers from the Algerian border.
Merzouga is famous for its dunes, the highest in Morocco. The village adjoins the largest effect in Erg Chebbi in Morocco.
Merzouga has become a tourist attraction of prime importance for this region of Morocco, enabling the development of hotel industry, both locally and in neighboring communities of Rissani and Erfoud.
